Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has admitted he would like to change the Manager of the Month award to recognise his full coaching team after he was named April’s winner.
Gerrard’s side won all four league games, scoring 11 times and conceding once as the Gers boss became the first Ibrox manager since Ally McCoist eight years ago to win the award.

Gerrard brought all-but-one of his coaching team to the club with him when he was appointed manager last summer – and looks to have built a strong group of coaches.

While it seems unlikely that the award will be changed any time soon, it’s good to see Gerrard making sure his coaches get the plaudits they deserve too.
