Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has confirmed that he’s made it “very clear” that he’d like Ryan Kent to be a Rangers player next season – but admitted that the decision is out of his hands.
The on-loan Liverpool winger has impressed this season since joining the Gers on loan last summer and is due to return to Anfield at the end of the season.

“Liverpool and Ryan and his reps… I’ve made it very clear what I would like. Unfortunately, I don’t make the final decision on it,”

“But credit to Ryan, after a couple of loans where he never played or reached his potential, he’s flying at the moment.
“The players are loving having him here and playing with him. And Ryan’s having the time of his life. I think the next decision on Ryan’s future has to be made very carefully because, for me, football’s about happiness.”
Since joining the Gers, Kent has featured regularly in the first-team and had the most fruitful loan spell of his career so far.

The biggest issue for Rangers will be if they are to be priced out of a move for Kent however Gerrard’s history with Liverpool could be beneficial.
