During Tuesday afternoon’s press conference, via the club’s official Twitter account, Steven Gerrard provided an injury update.
Second plays third in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night, but as yet, the Rangers manager says he doesn’t know whether or not he will be able to call upon the service of his vice-captain.

Connor Goldson was a stand out performer over the first half of the season.

After arriving in the summer from Brighton, he has racked up 36 appearances. Only the skipper, James Tavernier, had more before the winter break.
Unfortunately, the sheer amount of matches seemed to take their toll on the centre-back.

He went through the pain barrier to play against Celtic, but hasn’t been seen in 2019.

Four matches is by far his biggest absence of the campaign and there’s a chance it could be extended to at least five.
“We have to check on Connor Goldson, he will be touch and go for tomorrow”,
said Gerrard via the Rangers twitter account.
Should he miss out, the partnership of Nikola Katic and Joe Worrall, that helped the Gers keep clean sheets in their last two SPL matches, is likely to continue.
That pairing has done well of late, but it would still be a big blow to be without Goldson.
There’s little doubt that so far this season, he has been the club’s most consistent central defender.
