Former Rangers player delivers sobering Ibrox transfer prediction

Former Rangers player, Charlie Adam, has delivered a sobering transfer prediction for Bears, as quoted by the Daily Record.
33-year-old Adam spent six years at Ibrox between 2003 and 2009.

The Scotland international has plied his trade South of the border ever since, but he keeps a close eye on Rangers.
He hopes to see a genuine title challenge from his old side next season. However, he doesn’t expect too many new faces.
“Rangers have been on a great run recently and I think if you look at Steven (Gerrard) and how he has done this season, he’s done a good job and he’s got a good squad. But, he’ll be looking for better quality next season,” said Adam, as quoted by the Daily Record.

“I don’t see Rangers bringing seven or eight players in. I can see them bringing in three or four maximum of better quality players that can take Rangers to the next level again and give Celtic a proper challenge.”

It’s unclear here whether or not Adam is factoring in either Jordan Jones or
Jake Hastie, who are already Ibrox-bound.
If he is and he’s right, Rangers fans are in for a disappointing summer.
It’s hard to see the manager not making use of all available resources during the window, though, and perhaps Adam is just trying to temper earlier claims that it’s going to be a ‘big summer’ at Ibrox [The Herald].
