Fashion Sakala: Rangers striker praised on Twitter by Zambian FA

Rangers striker Fashion Sakala is at it again.

The summer arrival has continued his impressive run of form as he notched another goal in Rangers’ 3-1 victory over Livingston in Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s first league match.

The Zambian FA has now been praised on Twitter for his goal against Livingston, with the official Zambian Football Association sharing Sakala’s tweet with the caption “Well done” which will surely please the player.

Although mainly used off the bench for the side, his first league start brought a hat-trick against Motherwell in October and then he bagged another treble on national duty for Zambia against Mauritania in a 4-0 win.

The striker even got to meet with the Zambian president after his Motherwell heroics as the leader was in Glasgow attending the COP26 conference at the start of November. Sakala presented him with a Rangers shirt which he proudly showed off.

All in all, it’s been a frantic few weeks for the 24-year-old and surely it will only be the beginning of a lengthy career at the Ibrox side.

His initial impressions have been lively and as time goes on, he will surely get more starts for the club. Although having a player of his quality coming off the bench must be heavenly for van Bronckhorst as the team chase glory on three fronts this season.

There could be one problem for the Zambian however amid the United Kingdom’s latest update to the national red list for travel.
