Highly-rated Rangers signing Ridvan Yilmaz has been spotted in Ibrox training as expectation mounts about his involvement against Kilmarnock.

The Turkish international left-back, 21, has joined on a reported £5m deal from Besiktas and given the outlay the transfer has generated a lot of interest at home abroad.

With major doubts surrounding the consistency of Croatian international left-back Borna Barisic, it’s expected that Yilmaz will come in as the first choice player in the position.

“I believe that my football mentality, speed and technique are all good. When I can get these qualities into the game I believe that it can increase the level of the team’s performance.

“My first goal is to get Rangers into the Champions League and to finish the league in a good position in order to win trophies.
