Former Rangers midfielder Emerson Hyndman is in talks over a move to join ex-Gers Carlos Bocanegra and Frank de Boer at MLS champions Atlanta United, according to a report.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the 23-year-old could leave Bournemouth to join Atlanta with the clubs in negotiations over a deal for the midfielder.
During his time at Ibrox, he made 17 appearances, scoring four times as the Gers struggled through a tumultuous period following Mark Warburton’s resignation and Pedro Caixinha’s appointment weeks after Hyndman signed.
A move to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium would see him working under two ex-Gers with Carlos Bocanegra currently technical director and Frank de Boer managing the Five Stripes.
Atlanta currently sit fourth in MLS’ Eastern Conference – six points off leaders Philadelphia Union.
The Dallas-born midfielder moved to the UK to sign for Fulham before being signed by Bournemouth in 2016.
With two senior caps to his name, Hyndman has been a regular in the US national teams through the various age groups but has struggled to cement his place in the senior set-up.
