David Healy insists Steven Davis will be 'big, big player' for Rangers

Northern Irish icon David Healy insists Steven Davis can be a “big, big player” for Rangers next season because his former team-mate is “that good.”
Davis signed a one-year deal at Ibrox after spending six months on loan with the Gers and Healy is confident Davis has the quality to help the Gers lift silverware.

Healy played with Davis for club and country and believes his experience will help other players in Steven Gerrard’s squad.

“He can play a big part for Rangers going forward because he’s that good,” Healy said, as quoted by the Daily Record.

“I don’t want to be talking out of school because it’s up to Gerrard who he plays and in my opinion, he is doing a very good job at Rangers but I know the quality that Steven has and I feel he will be a big, big player for the club next season.

“The thing about Davo is he has great experience which helps other players and he has genuine quality.”
The Gers will be looking to finally end their long wait to get their hands on silverware after their last major success in 2011.

Gerrard’s side will get started pre-season soon and will welcome Oxford United, Blackburn Rovers and Marseille to Ibrox in preparation.

After Davis’ performances for the Gers towards the end of the season, the veteran has shown he still has the ability to be a massive player in the new campaign.
