Former Rangers player Dariusz Adamczuk has admitted his three years at Ibrox were not as memorable as his time at Dundee – despite lifting a league title and two cups at Rangers.
The Pole moved to Ibrox from Dundee in 1999 and spent three years at Rangers, making fewer than 15 starts, before hanging up his boots in 2002.

“My time at Rangers wasn’t as memorable as when I was at Dundee because I was a key player there,”
“But there was an incredibly strong midfield there and there were two great coaches in Dick Advocaat and Alex McLeish. There were players like Giovanni Van Bronckhorst, Claudio Reyna, Arthur Numan, Sergio Porrini, Stefan Klos and Jorg Albertz, who I still keep in touch with.
“I needed to play regularly there, not once every four matches and there was no reserve team at the time. But I still got a Scottish title and two cup medals.”
Adamczuk is now sports director at Pogon Szczecin and will see his former side take on Polish rivals Legia Warsaw in the playoff round of the Europa League.
The former Polish international started his career with Pogon and had two spells with Dundee between 1993 and 1999; as well as stints with Udinese, Eintracht Frankfurt and Belenenses.

At that time Rangers and Celtic were often hoovering up players to stop the other getting their hands on them and there’s little doubt that’s why the Pole wound up at Ibrox rather than in the East End.
