A Rangers picture that paints a thousand words

They say a picture paints a thousand words. And there’s a Rangers picture from the weekend which could well be the prologue to a beautiful rest of the season story.

Look at Andy Halliday on Ryan Jack’s shoulders. The group cuddle. New boy McAuley embracing who looks like fellow new arrival number 35 Eros Grezda.

It’s a photo which shows desire, passion, togetherness. These are men who clearly care about the cause and who, in dismantling Motherwell, finally exorcised some of the demons from our stuttering form over the last few weeks.

It’s a superb picture and one fans are quite rightly raving about.

The Gaffer even shared it on his Insatagram.

We’re in good hands

Rangers have played very well at times this season. In others, we’ve lacked an urgency and creativity.

It’s been all on or all off at times.

Against Motherwell it was the former. Rangers were impressive from the first whistle to the last even if they were helped by Motherwell’s sending off.

Scott Arfield also said the team felt they owed Well one after the 3-3 draw at Fir Park earlier in the season.

But what this picture shows is a level of commitment that we sometimes don’t give this group credit for. To a man the team played brilliantly at the weekend and it’s great to see this level of camaraderie in the camp.

The picture gives an insight into the relationship the players have with each other. It’s especially brilliant to see boyhood Rangers fans Andy Halliday and Ryan Jack messing around.

These two know what it means to play for Rangers and their passion is brilliant.

Let’s hope there’s plenty more scenes like this in the coming weeks and months.
