Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has heaped praise on Joe Aribo after the midfielder starred against Hearts in the 2-0 victory yesterday.
Rangers have yet to lose under van Bronckhorst and have only conceded two goals in six matches during the Dutchman’s reign so far.
A frantic 15-minute salvo at the beginning of the match saw both Alfredo Morelos and Aribo score and it was a lead that the Ibrox side wouldn’t relinquish.
The 46-year-old spoke after the match and only had good things to say about the performances of both the team and the Nigerian international.
“We showed from the beginning that we had to be on top of our game, and I think we were,” said van Bronckhorst [RangersTV].
“[Joe] is very dynamic and we talk a lot with him and all of the midfielders about when to be available in the build-up and then when to be attacking the spaces the opponent leaves.
“So, he is doing better and better, and it was a very important role he had today and, of course, with the goal he helped us all.”
The midfielder has developed into one of the best players at the club and his consistency has vastly improved.
Long gone are the periods in which he would have one fantastic match before following up with a few underwhelming performances.
He has matured massively this season and he doesn’t look like stopping.
let’s just hope we can keep him at the club for as long as possible.
