Rangers under-18s have booked their place in the Scottish FA Youth Cup final after a stunning comeback win over Hibs to record a 4-2 win in the Capital.
Having gone behind twice, Rangers scored twice late on to seal the win and set up a Hampden clash with Hearts and leave the young Gers on course for silverware.
The Hibees took the lead just a few minutes in when Josh O’Connor opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Charlie Lindsay drew the Light Blues level with O’Connor restoring the hosts’ lead before the break.
With Hibs still in front going into the final 15 minutes, substitute James Graham headed home, again, restore parity before skipper Robbie Ure hit a late double to turn the game around completely.
Rangers were very much on the front foot after Graham’s leveller and the pressure paid off thanks to Ure’s double as he found himself in the right place at the right time.
The Gers striker headed two goals in three minutes as Rangers got themselves in front for the first time in the match, leaving Hibs with no time to mount any sort of comeback and sending the Light Blues to the final.
The Gers will now face Hearts on April 27 as they look to get their hands on the Scottish FA Youth Cup that Rangers last won in 2019 with a shoot-out win over Celtic.
