Rangers striker Juan Alegria has taken to Twitter to make clear his target while on loan at Falkirk as he settles in at the League One side.
Alegria has joined Falkirk on loan for the season as the Bairns look to finally secure promotion out of the third tier and the Colombian is raring to get going.
Falkirk face Clyde tomorrow in the Premier Sports Cup and Alegria could make his debut for his new side after being handed the number 9 shirt by manager John McGlynn.
After Hibs were penalised for fielding an ineligible player in the group, Falkirk find themselves with a great chance to qualify for the last 16, and Alegria will be hoping to fire the Bairns to three points.
Falkirk boss John McGlynn is keen to see Alegria in action for the Bairns and was glad to finally get a move over the line for him.
“We are delighted to welcome Juan to the football club,” McGlynn said. “He’s a player we have been after for some time. We witnessed him playing for Partick Thistle last season and he’s a young, hungry, and hardworking striker who I am sure will kick on.”
“He fits the profile of what we are looking for look and we look forward to working with him this season as he looks to develop himself further.”
The Colombian isn’t the only Rangers youngster currently at the Falkirk Stadium, with Kai Kennedy also on loan with the Bairns.
Kennedy has, however, been sidelined with a hernia and is set to miss up to eight weeks of action for Falkirk.
The midfielder worked under Bairns boss John McGlynn last season while on loan at Raith Rovers and the manager knows exactly what Kennedy is capable of.
That should help him get back into the side quickly once he finally recovers for injury and gets back to full fitness.
