There’s been a renewed emphasis on the youth system at Ibrox in recent seasons and there are promising signs for the future.
Young-Coombes, recently signed from Chelsea, and McKee were in clinical form against the Tunisians and produced some fantastic finishes.
Rangers have yet to find out their semi-final opponents but could face the likes of Real Madrid, Roma or Spartak Moscow.
With Ross McCrorie and Glenn Middleton making the step up and establishing themselves in the first-team squad, there is a clear pathway there.
Fans on Twitter were delighted with the progress of the youngsters and were quick to praise them for their performance – with one fan saying they were ‘tremendous’ in the second-half.
