Rangers midfielder Murray Miller has joined Alloa Athletic on a season-long loan, the Gers have confirmed.
The Australian youth international has already spent time on trial with the Wasps this summer, featuring in a pre-season friendly against Queen’s Park and will now look to cement his place in the starting XI at the Indodrill.
The 20-year-old was a key part of the side last season for Rangers B in the Lowland League and will be hoping he can impress after jumping up a couple of levels to League One.
League One move a good step forward for Rangers Academy star
Miller looks to have a really bright future ahead and the step up to League One with Alloa should be a good move for the Australian.
With Miller also aiming to secure a place in Australia’s Olympics squad, there’s plenty of reasons for the midfielder to impress this season.
Alloa manager Brian Rice is good at giving young players a chance to shine while trying to play football the ‘right’ way so Murray should be in a good environment for his development.
There are some really good sides in League One this season too, including Falkirk, Dunfermline and Kelty so there will be some tough challenges for Miller to navigate during his spell with the Wasps.
