Rangers have confirmed that Josh McPake has joined Queen’s Park on a season-long loan deal after speculation over the winger’s future followed him all summer.

The wideman, who has had previous stints with Morton, Dundee, Harrogate Town, Morecambe and Tranmere Rovers shared a number of videos over the summer of him putting in the graft to try secure a Rangers future.
However, he now joins the Spiders, who will play their games at Stenhousemuir’s Ochilview Stadium while Lesser Hampden is renovated, and is keen to make a big impression.
McPake ‘really looking forward’ to getting started after Rangers exit confirmed
McPake is keen to get going with his new teammates and is looking forward to trying to cement his place in the Queen’s Park side. Speaking to the Spiders’ website, he said: “I am really looking forward to be joining and getting started with Queen’s Park. The project is really exciting and I’m looking forward to working under the experience of Owen Coyle, Marijn Beuker and the rest of the staff, to have a successful season. I have worked really hard in the break to come back in good shape and I enjoyed getting back in to Rangers after three loan spells down in England, playing senior football at a strong level. I’m now just looking forward to meeting the lads and getting going.”
Spiders boss Owen Coyle added: “We are delighted with the loan of Josh from Rangers. After three loan spells down south he was looking for a good club in Scotland. We have been in contact with him over the last few weeks and are very pleased that Josh has chosen our club to further develop. Josh has trained very well during these weeks, so he is in great shape to immediately make an impact in our team.”
